Boson stars with negative Gauss–Bonnet coupling

Abstract In this paper, we discuss asymptotically flat and anti-de Sitter (AdS) boson star in $$(4+1)$$ ( 4 + 1 ) -dimensional Gauss–Bonnet gravity. We describe the dependence of mass, charge radius on model parameters, such as coupling $$\alpha $$ α , cosmological constant $$\Lambda Λ gravitational $$\kappa κ . The basic properties solutions stars have been studied for different negative values coupling. found that when is large enough, spiral shrinks pulls back to larger internal frequency $$\omega ω there only one branch exists. also observed small enough if close zero, will unfold.
